He is in the senior management of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India. He has served the federal government in various capacities. His experience spans across economic, security and social sectors of governance entailing management roles in local governments, parastatals, national and international organizations. He has traveled widely and led several projects, service delivery, dispute settlement, regulatory, capacity building appraisal, investigation, and assurance services.

Born in 1969, he has a multidisciplinary academic background in Engineering (IIT BHU), Legal studies (LLB, with specialization in cyber and competition law), PhD in Economics (IIFT), Public Financial Management (PFM- KSG, Harvard University), Chartered Financial Analyst, Information Systems Audit & Management (CISA - USA), Fraud Examination (CFE-USA), Public Policy (LKY, Singapore), and Leadership Program (ISB, Hyderabad).

National Merit scholar, carries “C” Certificate of NCC (Defense Training), Played Boxing and Cricket at the state (U.P.) level, India-PRINCE (IT) Certification from NAO, and IT securities training from Civil Services College, Sunningdale, United Kingdom.

Proficient in management of socio-economic policies, communication with different stake holders in the private, public and unorganized sectors; performance of accounts, entitlements, audit, administration, advisory, and adjudication functions, situated in several States of Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh etc etc. Similarly, experienced in the business of Department of Revenue, Posts & Telecommunications, Commerce, Defence, Railways, Petrochemicals, External Affairs and Education, Govt. of India, Election Commission for election management, and was engaged on several occasions with the multilateral bodies like United Nations Organization (UNO), UNDP and its agencies: OPCW, WFP, IAEA, WTO; World Bank and IMF.

Life Member of IIPA (Public auditors), ILI (legal affairs), IIPA (Public Administration), ISIL (International System), Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA); Expert invitee in Trade and Industry Shows (PHDCCI, FICCI, ASSOCHAM), India International Centre, and published the NGOs in the education, culture, and cooperative sectors.

Has written book on Government Procurement, and several papers on Trade Policy, Growth Symmetry in South Asia; Financial development, taxation and International Trade, in international journals. Presented articles and working papers on Trade facilitation, transaction cost, GST, Inverted duty structures, SEZs, EOUs, TARIC etc.

He has worked on several complex models for Polito-Economic Development, effective communication in governance, and logistical Infrastructure, negotiating International trade and planning strategic governance.
